 If  my friends and business acquaintance want to move ahead in technology ... "Bonnie Knows"

Today  I had to say ... If you want me to do the best  job  for you  you need to allow me to  do what "I Know"!

So  I decided to change the meaning of the Acronym and focus www.BKFFF.com to explore curation as a Busienss model, specifically  in online video presentation!

The story...

I am Bonnie;- "Bonnie Sandy"

Honestly  www.Bkfff.com  was originally the short form of Brooklyn Fashion Film Festival (www.BrooklynFashionfilmFestival.com) a short acronym to  type in to a mobile device!  However as I planned and executed the event I met  not  just  Fashion designers artist musicians and entertainers all interested in the  new "Film"  or online video format! As  I worked with each of them to  explore improve their use of the format and style I  realized that distribution was key... even if some had no idea how important it was my relationship with Streets of New York 411 availed an  understanding of Integrated (offline & digital)  distribution!

I encourage each to establish their own unique opportunity howevr buildingg a startup and a site takes time!  Even then when  you have a site for a product  you have two sets of responsibilities  developing  your product and developing  your site!

Marketing  Distribution are two other full time jobs on a busy  schedule!

I also ran into problems with PR individuals who "knew" and so hampered the very thing that was essential in moving ahead!  I get results  and in order to get those results I need to be "allowed to do what i "know" even if it is unconventional!

28 Squared (282)  is an entrepreneurial training program developed and used over the last7years, as a hands-on program centered in Brooklyn, New York. It has served artist and businesses in fashion, accessories, graphics, home product design, public relations and marketing interest! It was recently reformatted into its present state... so as to take it Global...From Trinidad to Cameroon, St. Lucia, Senegal, France New Jersey and Across the US,  Independent designers have asked for this program... the goal is to create a "private label local version” with the accompanying "BKSTYLE" (A show and  sale format proven to generate more sales)program.

What sets the  28 Squared program apart is the "how to"; a process whereby we focus on

Actually guiding participants through each stage till they UNDERSTAND and can themselves STRATEGIZE & EXECUTE!
This program is being introduced in across the globe to help develop local  fashion industries! Our goal is to help you develop your company to international standards without you having to leave Travel for training abroad.

The  program is Broken  into a Primer as well as four Stages

  • Primer-  
    •  Section A- is the first aspect and involves a detail review and can be used by existing product and companies to revise their strategy! Understand how it works, has been narrowed to a comprehensive step by step approach that takes businesses from research, through product development, sales, marketing and distribution! They are able to define and develop core concepts- A 2hr Intro  seminar and/or checklist
    • Section B- we take a fun  look at  concept of Product development using an open group project, while intoducing participants to New Media and technology and  new concept of desicion making Join the Lab for the next session 
  • Phase 1
    • Goals- is an introduction to these concepts as it relates to a specific productl! Discovery( it's a lean startup model) during this phase we explore,  discover & develop... the goal get a working model of your idea! Participants usually  start  exploring  one or more of their products ideas with respect to these elements with teh aim of building a prototype that not only fits their niche and serves consumers needs but sets them apart as a unique and vital product! 
  • Phase 2
    • Participants commit to a particular sector and business plan/brand and beginning stablishing “ROOTS’. During the Alpha stage participants interact with the  public in a controlled manner as they shape their product  Alpha-focuses on Production and scale It takes the prototype to a production model- Sourcing, product, production, staffing, funding and resources market and gets ready for public beta launch and attracting funding 
  • Phase 3
    • Beta- focuses on Launch of the product, build market traction convert to financing, Refine product/ merchandise, brand and packaging and business development with professional assistance! Pruning. During the Alpha stage participants interact with the  public in a controlled manneras they shape their product 
  • Phase 4
    • Mature – Focuses on Delivery of products while earning revenue balancing books, reporting and expanding business model! Positioning the business for enterprise and financing, refining brand, packaging and business development with professional assistance! Maturity At this stage Participants can adeptly shape and  brand products serviecs to meet their consumer needs. they should have attracted interest from  investors, consumers an d press and their focus is steadily  building their businesses!

In 2011 We embrace a new way of practising the Business of fashion... we kick of in  February  with A focus on the Black Fashion Designers during  NY Black History Month Celebration! During NY Fashion and Market weeks we add Brooklyn designers! Please note however we embrace ALL Independent designers  to our 28 squared program!

Regenesis- Re-think every thing!

in 2010 we tested the technology for Live streaming  Clothing (It's not just  turning on the camera) and connected with designers within the African diaspora (better known as Black Fashion Designers or  designers of Color) we Got that  down to a simple formula ( which we are currently revising for publication) with  just  a few queries! Now it was time for logistics and content and context! 

We have content- Lots of itt Collectively we can take you  from  Brooklyn to New Jersey and Queens, The  west coast, "Down South" or "Up North" to Canada! We can  get you across the waters To France, Senegal, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, or South Africa! If You wanted to escape the  cold.. there is always  teh Caribbean - Trinidad, Barbados, St Lucia and Jamaica! To top it  off we can deliver in any  flavor from urban to  contemporary to  exotic or traditional and in every size petite, to full  figure  in any  quantity  one of a kind ( one off to Mass market) Putting that  content in to  context  for delivery  for different makets and the logistics of how to use the  technology  to do so at the  most  efficient  cost and time is what social style is about! ( We 'llgive new meaning to  Eco- or green)

Do we use Skype or Gmail or a private network! Which  will work best if not in all  in most of the locales given  various states of infrastructure & development! If  a designer in Nigeria gets an order in Trinidad or vice versa which is the most economic way  of delivery! How do  we collectovely  take care of our communities while engageing in Global  Tade!

What of the Gate keepers do  we need them! If th e consumer is my  neighbor or (my colleagues) who I can  reach  with a "Blast"- from our network... do I need to  be on the cover of VOGUE... do  I need $56,000 to be part of a fashion week! What about awards... if we have our own who needs BET!

Radical... no it's being done in many  sectors From journalism to Mainstream fashion! What may be radical is he "power to the People'  Attitude we embrace! Even that  the P2P movement is not  new... it is however even new to  our culture! We  welcpme ALL Independent designers - submit to Join me!

I work well because I am an actual designer;- I have been dressing  women for 30 years! Currently  I offer design services to fashion labels on a freelance level! On teh other hand I will be returning to Exploration project  i bagan a couple years back "Blooming  BSs" while past  designs will be revised and form teh core of CanVazz a concpt in open design and digital  printing I hav ebeen considering for some time!
